友城 | 昆明市与日本藤泽市——聂耳的小提琴拨动友谊心弦

1981年11月5日，昆明市与日本藤泽市缔结了云南第一对国际友好城市。今天，我们跟随聂耳的小提琴漂洋过海，回顾昆明与藤泽的友谊之旅。

Kunming city, the capital of Yunnan province, began its first friendship city relation with Fujisawa city of Japan, on Nov. 5, 1981. Over seas, the friendship between Kunming and Fujisawa is like a melody. Today, let’s enjoy the melody with the musician and composer Nie Er’s violin.

Brief on Fujisawa city in Japan

藤泽市位于日本列岛的中部、神奈川县的南部，沿东海道铁路线距离日本首都东京51公里，濒临湘南海岸，遥望富士山。作为横滨及东京的城郊住宅区而闻名，是一座集居住、工业、农业、商业、旅游业、文教于一体的综合性城市。

Located in the south of Kanagawa county of Japan, Fujisawa city lies in the central region of the Japanese archipelago. It is situated along the Tokaido railway line, approximately 51 kilometers from the capital city of Tokyo.

The city is known for its proximity to the Shonan beach and its picturesque view of Mount Fuji. Renowned as a suburban residential area of Yokohama and Tokyo, Fujisawa is a comprehensive city that encompasses residential, industrial, agricultural, commercial, tourism, and educational sectors.

Brief on Kunming city in Yunnan

昆明市地处中国西南地区、云贵高原中部，气候四季如春，又名“春城”，是云南省省会，中国西部地区重要的中心城市之一。昆明地处中国—东盟自由贸易区、大湄公河次区域、泛珠三角经济圈“三圈”交汇点，是中国面向南亚东南亚开放的重要门户及“一带一路”倡议建设的前沿枢纽。

Situated in southwest China, Kunming city stands in the central part of the Yunnan-Guizhou plateau. Known as the Spring City, it enjoys a mild climate throughout the year. The city serves as the capital city of Yunnan Province and it is an central city in west China.

Kunming is strategically located at the tri-junction of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, the Greater Mekong Subregion, and the Pan-Pearl River Delta Economic Zone. It is a gateway for China's opening to South and Southeast Asia and a frontier hub for the Belt and Road cooperation.

Nie Er’s violin forges friendly ties

中华人民共和国国歌的曲作者聂耳，有一把钟爱一生的小提琴，如今陈列在云南省博物馆。

Nie Er, composer of the national anthem of the People's Republic of China, had a beloved violin that is now displayed in the Yunnan Provincial Museum.

琴身的油漆已脱落斑驳，但琴弦依旧光亮如初，如《义勇军进行曲》的曲调一般。这把已略显陈旧的小提琴，生生不息地拨动着昆明与日本藤泽的友谊心弦。距离昆明3800余公里的日本藤泽市，聂耳纪念碑竖立于鹄沼海岸边上，见证着两国人民的友好情谊。

While the lacquer on the body of the violin has become mottled, the strings still shine brightly, much like the melodies of the "March of the Volunteers" -- the national anthem of China. This worn violin played a role in forging the friendly ties between Kunming and Fujisawa. Located over 3,800 kilometers away from Kunming, Fujisawa is where the Nie Er Memorial Monument stands on the shores of Kugenuma Sea, witnessing the friendly relations between the two countries.

1981年11月5日，聂耳诞辰之地昆明市与聂耳仙逝之城藤泽市正式建立友好城市关系。藤泽市成为了昆明市也是云南省的第一个国际友好城市。“相知无远近，万里尚为邻”。对音乐的共鸣和对天才的珍视超越了国界。至今，聂耳的小提琴，仍寄托着两座城市的思念和真情。

On Nov. 5, 1981, Kunming, the birthplace of Nie Er, and Fujisawa officially established the sister-city relations. Fujisawa became the first international friendship city of both Kunming and Yunnan province.

Bosom friends feel close even when they are thousands of miles apart. The resonance of music and the appreciation of talent have gone beyond the borders. Till today, Nie Er's violin carries the yearning and genuine emotions between the two cities.

1912年，聂耳出生在云南省昆明市。他在这里度过了人生中最宝贵的18年时光。1931年初，他将辛苦挣来的酬金买了一把二手小提琴。自此，这把小提琴始终陪伴身旁，成为他音乐生涯的亲密伴侣，也是塑造他为人民音乐家的神圣乐器。

In 1912, Nie Er was born in Kunming. Here, he spent his most precious 18 years. In early 1931, he bought a second-hand violin with hard-earned money. Since then, this violin has always been by his side. As the most intimate companion throughout his musical career, this sacred instrument has helped to turn Nie Er into a musician for the people.

1935年初，聂耳来到日本留学，谱写了《义勇军进行曲》。在中国留日学生的艺术聚餐会上，聂耳用这把小提琴首次演奏了这首曲子。遗憾的是，这次表演成为了千古绝唱。后来，聂耳在藤泽鹄沼海岸游泳时不幸遇难，年仅23岁。

In early 1935, Nie Er went to Japan to study and composed the "March of the Volunteers." At an artistic gathering of Chinese students in Japan, Nie Er performed this piece for the first time with his violin. Unfortunately, that performance became his eternal masterpiece. Later, while swimming in the Kugenuma sea in Fujisawa, young Nie Er tragically drowned at the age of 23.

时光流转，昆明与藤泽以不同的方式延续着友城情。自昆明与藤泽缔结友好城市40多年来，两地交往密切。双方互派代表团进行友好访问、共同纪念聂耳、举办“昆明·藤泽文化交流展”等，并在文化、工商、医疗等领域进行了深入地友好交流活动。

As time goes by, in-depth exchanges were conducted in culture, economy and health care for over four decades.The two sides have sent delegations for friendly visits, commemorated Nie Er together, and jointly held the Kunming-Fujisawa Cultural Exchange Exhibition.

在昆明市环城东路，有一幢气势雄浑、巍峨庄严，兼具中日两国民族风格的特色建筑，这就是昆明•藤泽友谊馆。

On East Ring Road in Kunming, there stands a grand and solemn building that combines the architectural styles of China and Japan. This is the Kunming-Fujisawa Friendship Hall.

它始建于1986年，由藤泽出资捐建。这里每年都会举办形式多样的民间文化交流活动，如日语配音大赛、茶道花道体验、日语演讲比赛等。

Established in 1986 with fund from Fujisawa, this place hosts various cultural exchange activities each year, such as Japanese dubbing contests, tea ceremonies, flower arrangements, and Japanese speech competitions.

2023年获得云南友谊奖、扎根云南20余年的云南民族大学日籍教师后藤裕人，十分珍视这对友城的情谊，热衷参与馆内历年的友好交流活动：“这里是日滇交流的纽带，在滇的日本朋友以及对日本文化感兴趣的云南朋友常常相聚于此。”

Hiroto Goto, a Japanese teacher who has been staying in Yunnan for over 20 years, was awarded the Yunnan Friendship Award in 2023. He cherishes the friendship between the two cities and participates in the annual friendly exchange activities held at the Friendship Hall. "This place is like bond for Sino-Japanese exchanges. The Japanese staying in Yunnan and Yunnan locals interested in Japanese culture often gather here."

2002年，为纪念聂耳和昆藤两座城市的友谊，昆明市政府派出工程团，为藤泽市修建了一座“春泽园”。

In the honor of Nie Er and the two cities, the Kunming municipal government sent an engineering team to build the "Chunze Garden" in Fujisawa in 2002.

“骋碧亭”柱上的对联写道“风过小亭疏竹影，云浮潮水逸琴音”，深情回顾了聂耳和昆藤两座城市的情缘。昆明市还捐赠了画家、雕塑家袁晓岑先生创作的“吉祥永驻”大型青铜孔雀雕像置于园中，寓意和平与发展。

On the pillars of the Chengbi Pavilion, the couplet reads, “Breezes pass through the small pavilion with bamboo shadows on the ground; clouds float above the tides with the violin melodies sounding around.'”

This heartfelt couplet reflects the profound connection between Nie Er, Kunming and Fujisawa. Kunming also donated a large bronze peacock sculpture titled 'Eternal Harmony' created by the painter and sculptor Yuan Xiaocen. Symbolizing peace and development, the sculpture is placed in the park.

日本鹄沼海岸的潮声，不绝于耳。“起来，不愿做奴隶的人们……”中华人民共和国国歌《义勇军进行曲》的旋律，回荡天地。聂耳的小提琴，拨动友城心弦。

The sound of the tide along Kugenuma beach is running tirelessly. The national anthem of the People's Republic of China, The March of the Volunteers, echoes strongly. The melody of friendship is still going on and on. So long lives the melody and this gives life to Nie Er’s violin.

Fujisawa erected a Nie Er statue to mark the 50th anniversary of the death of the composer. The renowned Japanese poet Akita Ujaku wrote, “Just listen attentively, and even today, we can hear the sound of Nie Er liberating Asia. This is where Nie Er's life ends.”

【2016-2019】

昆明市登山探险协会连续四年组织选手赴藤泽参加马拉松比赛。藤泽市代表团也曾派员参加昆明轿子雪山登山友谊赛；

The Kunming Mountaineering and Exploration Association sent runners to the marathons in Fujisawa for four consecutive years. The Fujisawa delegation also sent climbers to the Kunming Jiaozixueshan Mountaineering Friendship Competitions.

【2020】

新冠肺炎疫情发生之初，藤泽市和湘南日中友好协会迅速筹集应急储备物资援赠昆明。后来，日本疫情紧张，昆明市第一时间向藤泽伸出援手，先后分批次选赠了大批口罩、额温枪等医疗物资；

During the Covid outbreaks in 2020, the Japan-China friendship associations in Fujisawa and the Shonan quickly raised emergent supplies for Kunming.

When Japan was also hit by the pandemic later, Kunming immediately gave a hand to Fujisawa and donated bulk of masks, infrared thermometers, and other medical supplies.

【2021】

这一年，是中日文化体育交流促进年，也是东京奥运会举办年，昆明市和藤泽市互相录制视频，为对方奥运健儿助力；

In 2021, which was designated as the year for promoting cultural and sports exchanges between China and Japan, as well as the year of the Tokyo Olympics, Kunming and Fujisawa recorded videos to support each other's Olympic athletes.

【2022】

中日邦交正常化50周年，昆明开展“友好城市共享未来”中日友城青少年线上“虚拟互访”系列活动。

Marking the 50th anniversary of the normalization of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations in 2022, Kunming launched online activities themed on "Friendship Cities for A Shared Future", allowing youth in the two cities to exchange.
